International Fair for Wood Processing and Furniture Industry
Facts & Figures:
WOOD-TEC is the most important trade fair for woodworking and furniture industry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This fair is a business, educational and social event for all those who work with wood. For most joiners and carpenters, WOOD-TEC is an event that they cannot miss.
The trade fair takes place with the support of the EUMABOIS European Association of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers and is organized by Czech professional associations in the field of production of machines for woodworking, timber processing and furniture manufacturing. The content of the accompanying program is also jointly created by universities.
WOOD-TEC 2017 will present on a large area almost all the brands of machines for timber processing and furniture manufacturing that operate on the Czech market. This show is complemented by a presentation of components for furniture manufacturing. Exhibitors will bring to WOOD-TEC the news introduced at this year’s LIGNA trade fair in Germany. Novelties include automated and robotised systems that help manufacturers improve efficiency.
The supporting program, which focuses on practical information for woodworkers and furniture makers, has been refocused, especially on the possibilities of dealing with the increased amount of work in the time of economic growth. The main parts of the supporting program are combined into a Technology Day and a Furniture Manufacturers‘ Day.
A new feature in 2017 is the WOOD-TEC Award exhibit competition; trade fair visitors can attend the award ceremony in the WOOD-TEC Arena and view nominated exhibits at a display in Hall A2.
