The company DüKa Czech s.r.o. will advise breeders on how to obtain a soft, hygienically safe and dry litter for livestock. It will introduce stable straw mattresses using a preparation called KSM kalk alk, a technology widely used in Germany.
The company ZVVZ-Enven Engineering, a.s., introduces a novelty at the fair – its NCR 24 tank trailer for the transport of liquid agricultural waste with a volume of 24 cubic meters. This semi-trailer will be fitted with two axles, one of which is self-steering. It will have a steel tank fitted with an internal coating, including mixing and rinsing pipes, fitted with a pump, a docking funnel and hydraulically operated slide valves.
This year, the traditional Czech manufacturer of agricultural and municipal technology WTC Písečná s.r.o. will present especially its PARDÁL tractor trailers for the transport of livestock. Under the name PARDÁL KLEK, it will present two innovations – a single-axle animal carrier with the length of the loading area of 5.5 meters and a two-axle carrier with the length of the loading area of 7.5 meters.
More than 150 horses and almost 20 breeds will present the Horse Exhibition held as part of the National Show of Livestock in Brno this year. Hall F will host not only breeders‘ shows, but also various horse riding demonstrations. Right in the hall, there will be a large arena with grandstands, a circular riding site for additional programme and last but not least, sales stands of exhibitors of equestrian supplies.
The National Show of Livestock also features a beekeeping exhibition in Hall G1. Exhibits are on sale and the exhibition is intended for both professionals and the general public.
During the trade fair, the 9th Central European Veterinary Congress will be held over two days at the Brno Exhibition Centre; its topic will "Microbial Resistance – the Topic of the Day".

The ANIMAL TECH International Fair for Animal Production and the National Show of Livestock will be held at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 12 May (Sunday) to 15 May (Wednesday) next year. At the same time, the participants in the Central European Veterinary Congress will gather at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The National Gamekeeping Show will be held will also be held concurrently.
The sideline programme will obviously feature championships and competition shows of cattle, presentation of other animals exhibited, an extensive "horse parade" programme, which this time with a few exceptions will be placed inside the hall, the popular Miss Sympathy competition for the most likeable cow, and also presentation and sale of Czech food, beer and wine.
The ANIMAL TECH International Fair for Animal Production had a successful premiere at the Brno Exhibition Centre in May 2017. Concurrently with it ran the National Show of Livestock, the Central European Veterinary Congress, the National Gamekeeping Show and the NATUR EXPO BRNO Fair.
For the first time, this year’s National Show of Livestock was held concurrently with the International Fair for Animal Production, ANIMAL TECH, the Fair for Sustainable Living in the Landscape, NATUR EXPO BRNO, and the National Gamekeeping Show. The focus on livestock production and landscape care enhanced the interest of professional public, which was reflected in the high footfall over the first two days when the exhibition centre welcomed close to 15 thousand people. In total, 272 firms and 900 heads of livestock were presented in an exhibition area of ca. 27,000 m2. Over four days, this unique show attracted over 30 thousand paying visitors.
As part of the accompanying programme of the National Show of Livestock, a public debate was held by Minister Marian Jurečka with the public in Hall P. Here, among others, information on support for the milk and meat sectors or on the prospects of working in agriculture.

The National Show of Livestock is a real breeders‘ feast. This is testified by the fact that living specimens were carried to Brno by 36 vehicles, some of which had to come several times. The organizers addressed virtually all carriers licensed to transport livestock. "This is the largest concentration of farm animals exhibited in one place in the Czech Republic," confirms David Lipovský, head of the breeding department of Czech-Moravian Breeders Association, on behalf of the organizers.
Good weather, visitors' interest and official events, including the opening ceremony, were the main happening of the first day of the National Show of Livestock, the ANIMAL TECH fair, the National Gamekeeping Show and the NATUR EXPO BRNO Fair.
Livestock production is at the top level in the Czech Republic and has a high export potential. Representatives of agricultural organizations agreed on this at the beginning of all concurrently held events – the National Show of Livestock, the ANIMAL TECH and NATUR EXPO BRNO trade fairs and the National Gamekeeping Show.
At the ceremonial opening of the trade fairs, Gold Medals were handed over to four winners of the best exhibit of the year competition. At the same time, the awards of editorial boards of three media partners were granted.
The ANIMAL TECH trade fair has been very well received by both Czech and foreign companies. In total 150 firms will be exhibiting at the trade fair, presenting both novelties as well as their standard range.
At the National Show of Livestock representatives of almost all the breeds farmed in the Czech Republic will be on display. There will be some nine hundred head of livestock exhibited. Not only cattle and horses will be presented, but also sheep, goats and pigs. In the small showground in Pavilion P you can look forward to the following accompanying programme...
At the 2017 National Show of Livestock horses will be found in Hall G1 and its surroundings. The exhibited horses will be stabled in boxes by Hall G1, and a horse paddock will be created between Hall s Z and G1. Here visitors will be able to take a look at the exhibited horses (more than 100 horses from eleven breeds). Demonstrations of sporting disciplines and other activities with horses will take place in Hall G, where half of the building will be taken up with a large showground with two stands for visitors.
At this year’s National Show of Livestock the National Championship of Holstein Cattle will be held to choose the champion and vice-champion for this breed for 2017. The association as is traditional will be ensuring maximum objectivity by bringing in an international referee for this competition which is open to all breeders of Holstein cattle in the Czech Republic.
