IDET, PYROS and ISET 2023 have just begun. The number of participating companies is breaking records

On Wednesday at 9 a.m., the security fairs were launched at the Brno Exhibition Centre, with a record-breaking number of 551 companies from twenty-nine countries participating this year. Hall P, where the IDET defence technologies fair is hosted, is fully occupied. The Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic has prepared an extensive display together with the Czech Army, commemorating 30 years since its establishment. The PYROS and ISET fairs are located in Hall F with a presentation of firefighting and security equipment.

Record-breaking presence of companies at IDET 2023

Brno Exhibition Centre will host from 24 to 26 May 2023 the 17th season of the IDET international trade fair, which this year marks 30 years since its first edition. It is an important platform for the presentation of the Czech defence industry and during its existence the fair has acquired a prestigious position in the NATO area. PYROS and ISET trade fairs are held concurrently, focusing on the presentation of firefighting and safety equipment and services.

The Intervention Squad of the General Directorate of Customs will deliver a demonstration of arresting a group of offenders who illegally import tobacco products into the Czech Republic and distribute these to other clients.

IDET ARENA: Mounted Unit of the South Moravian Region Police Directorate

Department of hippology in Brno was set up in 1993 following the tradition of the mounted police with roots reaching to units established in 1948. Presently it belongs to the Order Service Units.

IDET ARENA: Brno Metropolitan Police

The Brno Metropolitan Police exhibition of the police work will focus on pacification of an aggressive crowd. The riot squad shield team, in collaboration with the police dog handler, will have the task not only to calm the situation but also to hold back the aggressors attacking the cordon. They will have to deal not only with objects thrown from the crowd, but also with an unexpected armed perpetrator.

The current security situation has reconfirmed the importance of the defence industry, which is a key part in the development of independent and self-sufficient states. In the Czech Republic, this industry has traditionally had a strong position resulting also from its export orientation. IDET is a major platform for the presentation of the Czech defence industry, scheduled to take place from 24 to 26 May 2023 at the Brno Exhibition Centre, celebrating thus 30 years since its debut. PYROS and ISET fairs will be held concurrently, focusing on the presentation of firefighting and security equipment and services.

The 16th IDET International Defence and Security Technologies Fair has confirmed its position as one of the most important exhibitions in Central Europe and NATO countries. In connection with the concurrently held PYROS International Fire Fighting Equipment and Services Fair and ISET International Security Technology and Services Fair, the fair was a comprehensive presentation of the components of the Integrated Rescue System and their suppliers. A total of 496 exhibiting companies from 27 countries took part in the security fairs; their stands were viewed by over 24 thousand trade visitors from the Czech Republic and abroad.

The IDET, PYROS and ISET 2021 security fairs have been launched

On Wednesday 6 October, the IDET, PYROS and ISET international security fairs were opened at the Brno Exhibition Centre. Visitors can expect an exhibition of innovative products from the defence and security industry as well as an interesting supporting programme. The opening ceremony took place at 10 am in the open area adjacent to Hall Z.
