Czech National Exposition at MSV in Brno to promote innovation, exports, and international cooperation

October 6, 2023  /  10:58 AM

This year's 64th edition of the International Engineering Fair (MSV), which takes place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 10 to 13 October, will present innovative industrial technologies. The main themes are digitalisation of industry, energy management and sustainability. The Czech National Exposition will also focus on hydrogen technologies, energy savings, and offer an entire ecosystem of interrelated services to support Czech companies.

"This expo is important for entrepreneurs for several reasons. The first is the participation of major international companies, which can establish cooperation with Czech companies at this place. That is why this year we have enriched the traditional Czech National Exposition with the presentation of companies and their products that have been supported by the Operational Programmes Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness, and rank among the leaders in their fields," says Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Síkela, adding: "This is in line with the new Export Strategy of the Czech Republic for 2023-2033, in which we want to focus on innovative Czech companies that develop, produce and sell products with their own added value."

The government will be represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Defence. Support for entrepreneurs will be provided by CzechTrade, CzechInvest and the Business and Innovation Agency. The exposition will also be complemented by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, the Engineering Testing Institute, and the Industrial Property Office. Financial services will be offered by the Czech Export Bank, EGAP and the National Development Bank.

A novelty of this year's Czech National Exposition will be the presentation of a number of top exhibits of Czech companies that have been created with the support of EU operational programmes offered by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The participation of representatives from abroad will also be significant. These will include opportunities offered to Czech companies by the dynamic market of the United States of America. These will be presented by the US Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Bijan Sabet, and other prominent US representatives as part of the Select USA programme.

There will also be a special Contact Ukraine stand where Czech companies will interact with their Ukrainian partners and representatives of individual Ukrainian regions and cities. This platform will significantly facilitate the preparation and implementation of mutual relations in the reconstruction of Ukraine. "We want to open the door for Czech companies to new opportunities on the Ukrainian market. That is why we will offer them our services at the Contact Ukraine stand. The aim is to involve our companies and help Ukraine with its reconstruction," says minister Síkela.

Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to consult their export plans at the CzechTrade Meeting Point event, which will staged on Thursday, 12 October, directly at the Czech National Exposition in Hall P. Twenty-five directors of CzechTrade's offices abroad, who will come to the event from different parts of the world, as well as consultants from the CzechTrade Design Centre and the Client Centre for Exports, will consult current business opportunities in many territories.
