This year will be exceptional by an extensive participation of companies from India, which belongs to countries with the highest economic potential. There will be an "India Show" taking place at MSV, as the highest form of official business and economic presentation of India abroad. In 2012, the "India Show" will only take place in the Czech Republic and Japan, while in Brno it will be a premiere for Central and Eastern Europe. The International Engineering Fair will thus welcome up to 150 Indian companies, as well as prominent leaders of Indian government bodies.
"India is a commercially very interesting territory and its growing economy has found itself at the centre of attention of Czech entrepreneurs. Therefore we are very pleased that India has accepted an invitation to become a partner country of this year's International Engineering Fair. It is the first significant presentation of Indian companies in the history of MSV and we will do everything possible for it to be successful and contribute to the development of business contacts between Czech and Indian entrepreneurs," says MSV director Jiří Rousek.
The partnership of India builds on successfully developing contacts on the political and business levels. Mutual trade between the Czech Republic and India has increased almost tenfold over the last ten years and this Asia country with the prospect of economic growth is among the priority countries of Czech foreign trade. "The Indian market is our traditional export destination in engineering and the forthcoming project entitled "India - MSV 2012 partner country" aptly fits into the mosaic of events we conduct to support the activities of our members who do business in the Indian market," says the director of the Association of Engineering Technology Petr Zemánek.
The development of links was also supported by last year’s business mission of more than forty representatives of Czech companies, a Czech - Indian Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation also meets regularly. MSV 2012 will be another important platform for the development of mutual business contacts. Indian business mission to the fair will be personally lead by the minister of trade and industry Anand Sharma and a 9th meeting of the Czech - Indian Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation will take place on the occasion of MSV.
A Czech - Indian Business Forum is prepared as well as several expert seminars that focus mainly on machine tools, mining equipment and energy engineering. The government agency EEPCA India is preparing the events for the Indian side, directly controlled by their local Ministry of Trade and Industry, in close cooperation with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Trade and Industry. The Czech side is organized by the Brno Exhibition Centre and preparation is contributed significantly by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Confederation of Industry and Transport of the CR, the Economic Chamber, the Association of Engineering Technology and the Association of Czech Mining Technology.
The MSV partner country project will take place for the fifth time this year. Germany was the first partner country in 2008, followed by Slovakia, Austria and Poland. This honorary position was gradually switched between all neighbouring countries, which are also key trading partners of the Czech Republic.
