STYL and KABO trade fairs celebrate their fiftieth anniversary
Twice a year, representatives of the fashion industry meet at the exhibition centre to draw inspiration from STYL and KABO international fairs, make orders for the next season, and get information on new trends. This August they will meet here for the fiftieth time. On the occasion of this important jubilee, the organizers have prepared a number of surprises for them.
Fashion trade fairs were bigger: they introduced new collections of 760 brands
Sales in the fashion industry are growing and the trade fairs STYL and KABO thrive as well. “They are the only contractual trade fairs of their kind in Central Europe. That this year’s February edition has again grown by new exhibitors is gratifying,” said the CEO of the Brno Trade Fairs company, Jiří Kuliš. After five years, the footwear and leatherwear trade fair KABO “grew” out of pavilion F and moved to a more spacious pavilion V. Novelties for the Autumn and Winter 2017/2018 season were, according to a first estimate, viewed by five thousand professional visitors, traders, and buyers, including a delegation of sixty businessmen and buyers in the textile and clothing industry from Iraq and Kurdistan.

Fashion as an instrument to emphasising your personal style
Trends in women’s and men’s fashion, footwear, and accessories for autumn and winter 2017/2018 were introduced by the Dutch expert Ellen Haeser. Her lecture took place directly on the catwalk in the pavilion P, and for the second time in history it was connected to a fashion show of collections of exhibitors whose pieces illustrate the new trends.

Karpet: Hats and Caps Follow Trends
The company Karpet is one of the Czech companies whose current production was very favourably commented on by the Dutch fashion trend specialist Ellen Haeser during her Saturday’s lecture. “We tried to choose interesting models, including paper or sisal ornate hats. We’re happy that we caught the audience’s interest, that several our photos made an appearance in the lecture, and that our goods are well liked. This is why we do it, so that the customers are satisfied,” says Monika Jeglová, Karpet’s sales manager.
