Check out the latest clothing, shoes and handbags collections, walk a few steps, put on skates or skis and enjoy winter fun. This is exactly what your visit to the STYL and KABO fairs can look like. Along with them, the Olympic Festival is held in Hall Z.
The STYL and KABO trade fairs have been taking place in Brno for 25 years and their 50th edition showed that the Czech and Slovak market is still in need of these contractual fashion presentations. The good shape of the global economy and the growth of the textile, footwear, and leatherwear industries were reflected in a heightened interest in attendance. In total, there were 253 exhibitors from 15 countries and the number of brands present rose to 780. The new collections for Spring and Sumer 2018 attracted, according to first estimates, approximately five thousand professional visitors, mostly traders and buyers.
The traditional trade fair lecture delivered by the Dutch expert Ellen Haeser regarding the fashion trends for the next season had a nontraditional format. It laid out a global shift in perceiving fashion from seasonal trends towards timeless values.
This Saturday in Brno marked the beginning of the STYL and KABO fashion trade fairs, which include contractual fashion exhibitions in the pavilion P. As is tradition, the first visitors saw a display of women’s and men’s fashion at the STYL SHOW, followed with collections of underwear, nightwear, and lingerie at the LINGERIE SHOW, and swimsuits, beachwear and accessories at the BEACHWEAR SHOW. The opening video reminded us of the fact that the exhibitions take place in the year when the fashion trade fairs celebrate their 50th anniversary, and also introduced the main partners of the event – the companies Keenwell, GK Hair and CCC.

Twice a year, representatives of the fashion industry meet at the exhibition centre to draw inspiration from STYL and KABO international fairs, make orders for the next season, and get information on new trends. This August they will meet here for the fiftieth time. On the occasion of this important jubilee, the organizers have prepared a number of surprises for them.
Sales in the fashion industry are growing and the trade fairs STYL and KABO thrive as well. “They are the only contractual trade fairs of their kind in Central Europe. That this year’s February edition has again grown by new exhibitors is gratifying,” said the CEO of the Brno Trade Fairs company, Jiří Kuliš. After five years, the footwear and leatherwear trade fair KABO “grew” out of pavilion F and moved to a more spacious pavilion V. Novelties for the Autumn and Winter 2017/2018 season were, according to a first estimate, viewed by five thousand professional visitors, traders, and buyers, including a delegation of sixty businessmen and buyers in the textile and clothing industry from Iraq and Kurdistan.
Trends in women’s and men’s fashion, footwear, and accessories for autumn and winter 2017/2018 were introduced by the Dutch expert Ellen Haeser. Her lecture took place directly on the catwalk in the pavilion P, and for the second time in history it was connected to a fashion show of collections of exhibitors whose pieces illustrate the new trends.
From Saturday, 18 February, to Monday, 20 February, Brno will become the crossroads of fashion industry. The 49th International Fashion Fairs STYL and KABO assert the advantageous trend when fashion and business go up hand in hand and interest in new collection presentations keeps rising. New collections of 758 clothing, textile, footwear and leatherware brands will be presented by exhibitors from twenty countries. There will be 75 purely Czech producers whose goods are attracting more and more customers, and almost 50 companies will bring their collections to Brno for the very first time. We expect that more than five thousand expert visitors will come check them out, i.e. mainly businessmen and merchandisers. Another piece of big news is that after five years in Hall F, the International Fair of Footwear and Leatherware KABO is moving to the Hall V.
