Dear exhibitors, due to organizational and technical reasons, the Brno Exhibition Centre decided to adjust the date of the SALIMA - MBK - INTECO international food fairs.
There are many small local food and beverage exhibitions in the Czech Republic, but there is only one International Food Fair with a long tradition. The jubilee 30th edition of the Salima show will be held at the exhibition centre in Brno on 17 to 20 February 2016.
The Brno Exhibition Centre welcomed six specialized fairs in a single date, dedicated to the food, packaging and printing industries. International fairs SALIMA, MBK, INTECO, VINEX, EMBAX and PRINTexpo were attended by 786 exhibiting companies from 35 countries, which is 15 percent more than two years ago. Visitors’ interest also surpassed the reality of 2012 - according to the preliminary results, the trade fairs were attended by 28 000 visitors this year.
Six products were registered by exhibitors for the Gold Salima 2014 competition in the engineering products category. The awarded prize was ultimately granted to only one exhibit - microbiological filtration device by Czech manufacturer of stainless steel, NEREZ Blučina.
One of the ten Golden Salima awards were given to Židlochovice Roast Beef Speciality by Janíček & Čupa, výroba speciálních uzenin s.r.o.
One of this year's ten Golden Salima awards went to BOHEMILK dairy milk for fresh milk in a glass bottle. It is a Czech product from the foothills of Orlické Hory mountains, which Opočenská dairy launched last year.
Čokoládovna Troubelice (Troubelice Chocolate Factory) is a small family company tied with Ecuador - a country of high quality cocoa beans. As a direct importer of raw materials they have recently embarked on making their own chocolate that was awarded the Golden Salima 2014 right at its premiere at the Brno trade fair.
The new trend is healthy, environmentally friendly and attractive for bartenders and customers. Tea in non-traditional forms can be tasted in Hall A1 at the stand of Espresso company representing the famous Dilmah tea brand on the Czech market.
The six competing young bakers tried to break the 2012 record in pleating thirty twists in time at the Brno Exhibition Centre on Thursday.
This statement results from the check-ups of the State Agricultural and Food Inspection Authority (SZPI) realized last year. At the same time, the amount of fines and penalties imposed almost doubled and the trend is to further tighten up. Representatives of SZPI informed about it at a press conference held at SALIMA.
