MSV 2013 was visited by our political leaders, headed by Prime Minister Jiří Rusnok and ministers of his government . There was also a large participation of VIP guests from abroad who by their presence acknowledged the important role of the trade fair in the development of international trade. "Even twenty years after the split of Czechoslovakia we perceive Brno as our city and as a city where it pays off to exhibit and present the best of what we have," said the Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic Tomáš Malatinský at the MSV opening ceremony. A regular guest of the exhibition, the president of the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce Rudolf Fischer, explained his presence simply: "An enormous number of German companies  exhibit here, most of them every year, but new companies are also coming every time. The annual presence of so many German companies clearly demonstrates that this trade fair is a perfect place for their business and at the same time for an entry to the markets of Central and Eastern Europe."

Success of the fair is also confirmed by exhibitors themselves. "We are a trade association of distributors and manufacturers with 120 member companies based in Brussels. We have been participating in the Hannover fair for two years, it is our first time in Brno and we are pleasantly surprised by the size of the fair, the number of halls and participating Czech and foreign companies. Despite the language barrier we have especially gained valuable contacts and information about the local market and its functioning through B2B interviews. This year we have a small stand, but next year we would like to come with a larger presentation," stated Georgiana Huiban, EPTDA Project Coordinator (European Power Transmission Distributors Association) about the trade fair.

Also traditional participants were leaving satisfied, such as PFEIFFER Vacuum Austria, who have not missed a single one of the previous years. "Brno has become the meeting point of mechanical engineering professionals and MSV is classified in the highest category of trade fair events by our management. Pfeiffer is a multinational company and ranks second in the world in its field. Our top managers say that the Engineering Fair in Brno is the first rank in Central Europe. And this year we have again found new customers, the trade fair was again valuable for the company," said the company manager Radan Salomonovič.

All 55 years of MSV were also attended by ŽĎAS company who have won 27 gold medals  in its duration. "We just belong to these fairs," said the head of marketing and promotion, Stanislav Růžička. "We have a large and representative exhibition stand and Brno is our meeting point with our business partners, who will always find us at the same place. This year we picked up a signal that companies that did not participate in the fair will be returning again next year, because they have made a mistake. The interest of visitors at our stand was great, especially during the middle three days. We are satisfied and we'll be back next year."

Exhibitor satisfaction with the number and quality of visitors is also evidenced by the opinion of the Managing Director of TM Technik Tomáš Pavlík: "We presented CMMs, 3D technology, camera systems and touch-sense machines at the trade fair. On behalf of our company, I can say that we welcome the fair and we wish it to continue developing and retain its excellent position among the trade fairs in Europe. It supports the Czech market that way. Enterprises should be exhibiting here and establishing cooperation also in the future, personal contact must not disappear between them. I was pleased that the quality of customers grows and people come with targeted questions, they do not only want to buy, but also receive advice. We will definitely come again next year."
